4 Days Marrakech Desert Tour to Merzouga-Traveling In Morocco Tours




Day 1 – From Marrakech To Dades Gorge Departure from Marrakech at 8 :00 am in a 4×4 .Travel over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) while enjoying superb views of the mountains and of the Berber Villages on the way. Stop for lunch and tour in the World heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. (This famous kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 films.) Pass through Ouarzazate and continue towards the Valley of Roses and the Dades valley, the valley of a thousand Kasbahs and the Dades Gorge. Stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 2 – Dades Gorge to Merzouga Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to the Todra Gorge: a massive fault, rising to 300 m in a narrow valley thickstudded with palmeries and Berber Villages.. You will have lunch in the Gorge, travel further into the desert to the tiny village of Merzouga, where you will camel trek into the beautiful Erg Chebbi Dunes. You will spend the evening in a bivouac (camp), enjoy a Moroccan dinner, and sleep in traditional Nomad camel hair tent.
Day 3- Merzouga To Agdaz If you wake up early enough, you can watch the spectacle of the sunrise, when the colour of the dunes and the play of shadows are an awesome sight. The itinerary continues to the Dra’a Valley via the village of Tazzarine (featured in the film ‘Babel’), and on the N’Qob for lunch. In the afternoon the journey takes us to Tanasikht, to drive along the ancient caravan route to discover the real Dra’a Valley, with its huge palm trees and ancient villages. At the end of the afternoon, the Kasbah of Tamnougalte offers dinner and a night’s rest.
Day 4 – Agdaz To Marrakech After breakfast there will be a visit to the Kasbah itself before returning to Ouarzazate, via the mountain (1660m). Once in Ouarzazate, we visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, originally the residence of the Pasha of Marrakech and a symbol of the feudal period of the lords of Atlas. Lunch in somewhere .Enjoy Lunch and continue the journey to Marrakech via the Pass of Tizi n’Tichka over the High Atlas Mountains stopping along the way for Cafe or Tea and to enjoy the beautiful, picturesque scenery.

Day 2: Marrakech » Essaouira (160km)

Pick up in Marrakech at your Riad/Hotel and travel west to the Atlantic coast. Visit the UNESCO protected city of Essaouria. Essaouria - an Arabic term for "the wall" - is an enchanting fishing harbor reflecting the Portuguese character of settlers from the 16th century. The enormous fortress of white washed, blue-shuttered houses (built at sea-level) is famous for its fine handcrafts. The city flourishes in marquetry, the art of working wood with ebony, mother-of-pearl, and silver threads. Dinner, Hotel/Riyad.

Day 3: Essaouira » Agadir (175 km)

Morning departure from Essaouria towards Agadir. Visit to Sidi Kaouki beach; its undisturbed sand dunes and argon shrubs make this beach one of the most beautiful in Morocco. The beach of Taghazoute,its the paradise for surfers, offers excellent sea views and the pleasures of fresh Atlantic Ocean air. Visit the beach in and see the new (and very European) city of Agadir. Dinner, Hotel/Riyad.

Day 4: Agadir » Sidi Ifni (180 km)

Continue your journey to the laid back city of Sidi Ifni. The Spanish flavor and Art Deco architecture makes for a relaxed - yet stimulating - visit. Travel onward to the village of Tiznit, where the locals dress in traditional costume and sell hand made Berber jewelry. Dinner, Hotel.

Day 5: Sidi Ifni » Tafraoute (220 km)

After breakbeast to the Atlantic Coast tour journey continues to the Anti Atlas, where we visit the towns of G'limime and Tafraoute. The area is known for almond trees, argan oil, and the production of babhouches (a traditional Moroccan leather shoe). Close the day with a relaxing walk in the Amen Valley - where weather-worn boulders change from pink to gray to gold. Dinner, Hotel/Ritad.

Day 6: Tafraoute » Taroudante (190km)

Depart via Chtouka Ait Baha to Taroudante.
Taroudante (nick-named "mini-Marrakech") is an elegant town encircled by a red ocher wall. Taroudante is a fantastic shopper's paradise for aficionados of unique silver items. Dinner, Hotel/Riyad
