3 Days / 2 Nights, Fes To Marrakech Desert Tour – Via Erg Chebbi Dunes:
Fes to Marrakesh Desert Itinerary is a great way to experience the best of southern Morocco. It will permit you to travel through the South of Morocco kingdom, crossing the Middle Atlas , see the cedar forests and monkeys (Barbay apes), enjoying the Ziz gorge and Valley, camel trek in Erg Chebbi dunes with a local desert guide (camel man) to watch the sunset and sunrise in the next morning, dine under the stars and listen to drums music and spending a night in a nomad tented camp. You will see also Todra gorges, Valley of roses, Visit the kasbah of Ait benhaddou, and cross the high Atlas mountains to reach Marrakech.
First Day Marrakech to Dades Gorge:
We will meet you at your riad or hotel at 8:30a.m., depart Marrakech, and transport over the High Atlas mountains Tizi nTichka pass. We will have time to stop and enjoy impressive landscapes, and break for coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice. We visit several Kasbah along the way – including Ait Benhaddou. The Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou is a 16th century UNESCO site – one of the best preserved and most spectacular Kasbah in Morocco. Scenes from the blockbuster hit movie of 2000 – Gladiator – were filmed in Ait Benhaddou. Lunch in somewhere. Along the way we’ll enjoy the landscapes of Berber villages and the different valley, Rose Valley and Dades Valley before arriving to Dades Gorge. Overnight in Dades.
Second day Dades Gorges – Merzouga / Erg Chebbi:
After breakfast, we leave to Merzouga; where the highest sand dunes of Morocco are located. Top Desert team is ready to stop anywhere you want to take a photo or walk for some time. After two hours driving, we’ll arrive to the Tafilalet oasis, which is famous for its dates in Morocco. Passing through small Berber villages, before arriving the Merzouga / erg Chebbi, where we’ll find the camels waiting for us to explore the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, where we’ll spend the night in a Berber desert camp with dinner and Berber local music.
Third day Erg Chebbi dunes – Fez:
An early morning wake up is recommended to assist sunrise from the top of the Chebbi sand dunes. Then you will camel trek to the Kasbah where you will take a shower and enjoy a Amazigh and delicious breakfast served by friendly Amazigh people. After breakfast, you will leave to Fez by 4×4 vehicles via the High Atlas Mountains. On the way, we’ll pass through Rissani, Erfoud, Errachidia and Medilt. We’ll stop for lunch and pictures of wild monkeys on the Cedar forests of Azrou before arriving to Fez, where we’ll leave you at your Riad or Hotel.
